Fast, Defensible Training for New Workers and Contractors – July 15th, 2026

New workers and contractors often arrive when operations are already busy. The work needs to get done, supervisors are stretched, and the onboarding process can become informal. Someone gives a quick site tour. A policy is mentioned. A form gets signed. The worker starts before anyone is fully confident that the right training has been assigned, completed, understood, and documented.

That’s a dangerous gap. New and temporary workers may not know site-specific hazards. Contractors may assume their own procedures are enough. Supervisors may believe training was handled by HR, safety, or the contractor’s employer. When an incident happens, those assumptions are tested. The employer needs to show not only that training existed, but that it was delivered consistently, tracked properly, and aligned with the work being performed.
