Examples of the health hazards you are at risk from include Lyme disease, malaria, West Nile fever, yellow fever, typhus, and plague, to list a few. The World Health Organization reports that vector-borne diseases amount for 17% of all infectious diseases. Any of these illnesses are not pleasurable, and will likely require time of work if not serious complications. Through this course, you will learn general treatment guidelines; however, this lesson does not constitute medical advice and is not a substitute for evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional. Rather, it will provide techniques and strategies to ensure your safety until you can receive proper medical advice.
