Test Before You Touch Infographic

Every year, thousands of workers are injured or killed by circuits they thought were safely turned off. Simply shutting off the power is not enough. Hazardous conditions can still exist. Make sure to always TEST BEFORE YOU TOUCH.

How to Test Before You Touch:

1. Ensure all participants are qualified for the job
2. Identify potential hazards
3. Wear correct PPE and use the proper tools
4. De-energize the circuit
5. Lockout / Tagout
6. Test the circuit
7. Verify the testing device
