Twenty-four Alleged Serious Violations Cited at Witchita Dairy

An OSHA inspection found 24 alleged serious violations, most of which relate to deficiencies with the company’s process safety management (PSM) program, an OSHA requirement for preventing the catastrophic release of hazardous chemicals. Other alleged violations include the lack of hoist system inspections, unguarded floor holes, lockout/tagout deficiencies, unguarded belts, pulleys and sprockets and electrical hazards. Penalties totaling $124,500 have been proposed.
