PPE - Legs/Feet
Leg and feet PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are crucial for protecting against various hazards in workplaces such as construction sites, industrial facilities, and laboratories. Safety footwear, including steel-toe boots or shoes with puncture-resistant soles, helps prevent injuries from falling objects, heavy equipment, or sharp objects on the ground. In some environments, such as those involving chemicals or electrical hazards, specialized footwear with additional protective features may be necessary. Properly fitted and maintained footwear is essential for comfort and effectiveness. Additionally, other leg PPE such as knee pads or leggings can provide added protection against impact or abrasions. Employers should provide appropriate training on the selection, use, and care of leg and feet PPE to ensure workers are adequately protected during their tasks.
