Anonymize without destroying the lesson
Claims-derived training requires discipline. Personal information, policyholder identity, protected health information, litigation strategy, privileged analysis and facts that could prejudice an active matter should not be casually repurposed into learning content. The carrier needs clear governance for what may be used and who approves it.
Anonymization should remove names, locations, dates and commercially identifying details that are unnecessary to the lesson. At the same time, over-sanitizing can make the story useless. A case that becomes 'an employee was hurt while using equipment' teaches almost nothing. The goal is to preserve the sequence of work, the relevant exposure and the control logic while removing details that identify the parties.
