Landscaping – PPE Picture This

The worker in the image is laying down sod without using proper personal protective equipment (PPE). He is wearing open-toe sandals, which offer no protection against heavy or sharp objects like tools, rolls of sod, or sharp debris hidden in the grass. His hands are unprotected as well—without gloves, he is at risk for cuts, blisters, and exposure to soil-borne bacteria or chemicals. Additionally, no knee protection is used despite prolonged kneeling.

For landscaping work, proper PPE is essential to prevent injury. Workers should wear steel-toe or closed-toe work boots with slip-resistant soles, durable gloves for hand protection, and knee pads when kneeling for long periods. Depending on the task, safety glasses, hearing protection, and high-visibility clothing may also be required on site.
